A little about me~ Hi, I was sent here by mercury v2 (Andromeda should know who I'm talking about. and Andromeda, he told me you and I should "hit" it off cuz we are both hentai fangirls. XD He's so bad). The last club I was with was in Mobile, Alabama at the Miso Anime Club. I used to attend there with mercury but moved to Columbia less than 6 months ago we are all still good friends. =D
I'm 23, been into anime since forever, and am still going strong in the fandom. I'm also an artist, but currently my main venture is making anime related items like cosplay hats/accessories/jewelry, messenger bags, plushies, etc, but it's all to support myself while I work up trying to get my fine art on the market. If anyone's interested, www.chibishinigami.deviantart.com is my current gallery and I'm slowly, but sure, getting a website up.
Anyway, my current anime/japanese obsessions are Bleach, Pinky St., doujinshi ( have 15+ disks of doujinshi scans and it continues to grow. XD), Orange Range, Junko Mizuno, Nyan Nyanko, and Re-ment.
Nice to meet you all! <3

Welcome to SC Anime. Good to see that there are more members in the Columbia area, since there are a few from there that are looking for more people to hang out with.

OMG! I was just talking to him a couple of nights ago! We had a lot of catching up to do and I mentioned the group. I remember when he first started attending those meetings. ^_^ Man, how time flies. And he's right. We'll "hit" it off good. ^_~
So talented! I'll have to check your stuff out.
If you feel like driving up this way, we'll be having a meeting next month. They usually happen once a month.
I'm so glad you joined!

I'm so glad you joined!I'm glad he gave me the link and mentioned you guys. It sucks coming from an area with a heavier population of anime fans to drop to an area with very little. It's depressing. And I'm also glad that meetings are roughly once a month. Gas is getting insane and I hate driving anywhere. >< But I'll deffinately try to attend anytime I can!
Zero: Yeah, one of the first things I did when I moved here back in December was look for a club but found nothing. I'm surprised with as many colleges as there are in this city that there's no club at any of them. Thankfully there's RoundCon though and Sean's willingness to expand the anime portion of it. Maybe that will start drawing in more fans at this area. But i'm really just thankful to find others to share my interests with at least close to this area.

You know, we have that same problem here in Spartanburg. Lots of colleges, but there's nothing. There are no clubs and no hot spots, unless you consider wild wings and that ground zero thing that seems to cater more to highschoolers. And no anime groups! Luckily, we have a comic shop, even if the anime selection is sucky, the manga selection is pretty good, unless you want the newest releases... lol. And then there's always Best Buy.

I need a hentai fangirl-friend. >_< lol Bah screw that, I just need a girlfriend period.

I have this amazing ability to find almost anything. I just the other day found a new little home on LJ that I can't believe I didn't know about before. It's a group dedicated to seiyuu and the members have tons and tons of things for download. Drama cds, music cds, pictures galore, radio talk...things (someone has all of the Bleach Station B radio recordings up for grabs), etc. I've been in fangirl heaven.
But it is depressing not being able to get out of the house and physically be around people for the companionship. I'm grateful that Mercury mentioned you guys. Working at home gets old quickly so having something to do with people in the area is wonderful. I've only made one friend here so far and although she's fantastic, I'd love to have more than ONE friend to go out and do something with from time to time. Speaking of, are you coming to RoundCon at all this weekend? You gotta come find me in the dealers room if so. I won't be able to make it to the anime room til after the dealers room closes so I'll be lonely. ;.;
Blue: Hehe <3 I know what you mean. Are you coming to RoundCon? You come visit me too if you are. I'll show you guys some stuff I'm working on. I'm making some little anime related figurines, coloring this big ass Marvel Comics issue cover (for a contest that Mark Brooks is holding, not actually for Marvel), and making cellphone straps among other things. I like to show off!

Like you ChibiShinigami I can't seem to get my quote function working properly unless I remove the ="name" part.

Thank you kindly, BodyOrgan! I appreciate the tip.

Smack! I forgot that's this weekend! Kid has a little league game tomorrow at 2:30. Why in the middle of the afternoon!
ChibiShinigami- 04-28-2006
There's still Sunday! *hopeful* And I hope he does well at his game! Little league is so much fun.
Andromeda- 04-28-2006
I have to work 1-6 pm on Sunday. Go figure.
Blue Lionheart- 04-29-2006
Actually I've never even heard of Roundcon before. :)
ChibiShinigami- 04-29-2006
It's a little gaming convention in Columbia but they have an anime room which Quickenin is running. They are playing from really great things too. All the people have been super nice too. Oh and Quickenin was saying how awesome it would be if you came and dressed in the yugi costume. She had the American movie on earlier today and we were giggling over it both being a guilty pleasure of ours liking the show.
If you've got time today or tomorrow, you gotta come over this way! www.roundcon.com for all info and stuff. I think you'd enjoy it.
Blue Lionheart- 04-30-2006
Crap I didn't know it was so soon...if I had an earlier heads up I could have said yes, but I don't have time to get ready and come up. :( I'm sorry!!!
