American Animation o_O
I just want to know if any of you guys enjoy American animation along with anime. Granted, the scene isn't looking very good right now, but there's Wolverine and the X-Men which I really enjoyed, and of course early 90s stuff such as the original Nicktoons and Batman the Animated Series. Thoughts?

There's not a lot i really enjoy anymore. I liked Ren & Stimpy and Invader Zim. They both made me laugh and i liked how invader zim was so dark yet still a cartoon. I watched a lot of others but nothing really stands out. Nothing I would really pay money for anyway. As a whole, it just seems like nobody gives a crap about how bad their drawing is. It's like they're not even trying. Aside from the lack of art, there's nothing that really draws me in to american cartoons anymore. There's either no ongoing story to keep me tuned in or the jokes are unoriginal and unfunny. My 2cents

Avatar the Last Airbender was cool. Though it's like a mix of American and Anime... =D I was totally into Avatar. *can't wait for live action movies*

Teen Titans!! though it was produced in Japan, so is it still Merican? I do love Futurama though it is a bit old now but still funny as hell. Can't think of any new ones I watch currently

Teen Titans~! I forgot them! I have their GameCube game! ^_^

Oh yeah, I forgot about Teen Titans and Avatar. FG is still humorous at times and I just completely gave up on The Simpsons

All of the animation for Futurama was actually done in South Korea. A Pup Named Scooby-Doo Alvin and the Chipmunks Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers Duck Tales Eek the Cat Garfield & Friends Gummi Bears Highlander: The Animated Series Inspector Gadget Pinky and the Brain Popples Pound Puppies Sonic The Hedgehog Reboot (CG, made in Canada) Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths & Legends Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles (CG) Smurfs Tale Spin The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest The Real Ghostbusters Thundarr the Barbarian Tiny Toon Adventures TransFormers (original) Those are the classic, 80's - 90's vintage, cartoons I was really into growing up. The modern stuff mostly isn't on par with those when it comes to the actual animation quality or even the type of humor implemented. For example, there was a continuation made of Inspector Gadget in the mid-90's, but it lacked the overall essence and feel the originals had. As far as more recent animation goes that I've watched/been watching: Dexter's Laboratory Star Wars: Clone Wars The Venture Brothers Total Drama Island (Survivor spoof)

I've actually watched a lot of Total Drama Island on youtube... lol. I did catch the end of an episode on TV the other day and found out they are making a second season. =)

Although with X-Men, i thought that they could've done a much better job at it, than having most of the plot being, good story arch followed by NO MORE MUTANTS arch, then moderate story arch, followed by NO MORE MUTANTS. As for other American cartoons: The M'Fing Tick Batman Beyond (if you think Western shows are dull, watch return of the Joker, and then come back to me). Justice League Beast Wars Reboot Darkwing Duck Rupert (Yes, i know it's a kid's show, but it's still fun to watch every now and then.) Little bear (grew up wth it, what more do i need to say) Spiderman Space Ghost: Coast to Coast Tiny Toon Adventures Beavis & Butthead King of the Hill I have to really push for Batman Beyond on this. Even though it was on a Kids network, it's plot definitely was not for Kids. Also, i think it's best to watch Batman the Animated series first, especially the later seasons.

I really enjoyed American animation back in the 80's, and 90's. I don't really give it the time of day anymore. The new series just don't do anything for me.
