Official Website: http://www.centralparkmedia.com/angel/ Rating: Suggested 16+ (TV14 D,L,S,V) Angel Sanctuary manages to be a sacrilege to all that is holy. The premise of the background story is not entirely clear, but supposedly god is dead or something. The "angels", which were already split into two warring factions (angels and demons) split into yet a third warring faction for control over the spiritual realm. Chaos ensued as the brother and sister who collectively ruled the angels had a falling out, which split the faction, and the brother killed his sister. That should have been the end of it, but the spirit of the dead sister now resides in a male high school student named Setsuna. Setsuna isn't your average happy content anime protaginist. No, quite to the contrary he's a rather miserable, love-lorn, teenager full of angst, who's parents are divorced, and he only has one actual friend. To make his situation even worse, the girl who he's in love with is his sister, Sara. Yes, his biological sister. Blech! Even worse yet, she's in love with him too! Double blech! And then there are the two cross-dressing demons that keep tailing him for no good reason. I'm going to cut straight to the point on this as it isn't really worth detailing the story any further, unless someone really wants me to. This three episode OVA was apparently meant to be an actual series (I think), but because it is so bad they thankfully stopped making it after three episodes. Three absolutely miserable episodes which I found I had to force myself to finish watching, just so I could fairly write a review about it. And no, the story doesn't conclude. It leaves itself gaped open for a sequel that one can only hope will never be made. Now for the only good things I will say about Angel Sanctuary. Animation and audio quality were both good. So, has anyone else seen this OVA?
