Anime in SC? Who Knew? XP
I've lived here for over four years now and wondered if any anime fans really existed here in SC. Glad to see that they do ^_^ Anyway, I've been an anime fan since the mid 80's, with some of my favorites being Bubblegum Crisis, Macross, Ghost in the Shell, and Silent Mobius. Right now I'm watching all the anime on late-night TV (free) with FullMetal Alchemist probably being the best of that bunch (although I'm really impressed with RahXephon). Haven't been to a convention since 1991, which not coincidently ties with the fact I've been married since then XP. Did I mention I like free anime? :roll:

So i see we have another Rahxephon fan here. Great! I like watching free anime on T.V as well, but then there's also Bit torrent, which really helps alot. Anyway, great to see that newer members are joining this group, and welcome to the South Carolina Anime group.

LOL! Yes, marriage has a way of halting certaint hings, like the love for anime... <_< *grumbles about something and marriage and kids* Anyway.... You know, we have another member on here that lives in Simpsonville... um, I think it's Simpsonville... err...my brain is shot. Just had four exams in the last 24 hours... so yeah. RahXephon is so cool! So how did you find yourself here?

Hehe. Well, I can't say that marrage has halted my love for anime. Its just made it a little more challenging to be able to acquire it :P Also I've had to be more selective about the stuff I try to get my hands on, which isn't a bad thing in reality. There really is a lot of bad anime out there (Betterman comes to mind right away XP) Actually my kids are getting into anime themselves. Pokemon and Digimon for now until they get older and can start watching the more mature stuff, although Naruto is about the right age for them at this point (and they do like Naruto quite a bit). I found this site from Google, just doing a search on "South Carolina Anime". Guess you picked the right name for the site! XD

LOL! Darn straight I picked the right name! As a matter of fact, I'm paying for it... lol. OMG! Betterman.. yeah... worse yet, Shinesman. Oh lord that was bad... but that annoying bad that you can't help but to watch. My kid is five and he doesn't like Digimon.. can you believe it! I loved the first two seasons, liked the third, hated everything after that. Pokemon... errr.. yeah, when I was in highschool, years ago. He's so-so with that. Loves Dragonball, Saint Tail, Sailormoon... okay, that's my fault..., YuYu Hakusho...errr... did I spell that right? Normally any other time and I would have. Anyway... yeah, well, thank god for DVD players on computers now! Just can't figure out when I'm going to watch all those VHS tapes.. hmm....

I can't say I've seen half of those anime. Guess that's a good thing when it comes to Betterman. I have seen some Macross, Ghost in the Shell, and a couple of episodes of Bubblegum Crisis. Anyway, welcome to the SCA group!

Wait, i don't see why people here dislike betterman? What's so bad about it?

I guess I'll have to ask you this question first: Have you actually seen Betterman? (I can see one or two redeeming qualities perhaps depending on your tastes... but that's quite a stretch I think)

Yes i have seen the show. It isn't all tha bad.
