Its coming up soon September 19th-21st! is anyone going? Brandy and i will be there all 3 days and we are trying to get together a steampunk group for saturday but we never seem to have luck finding other cosplayers for group cosplays :(

Su-kun- 08-16-2008

I want to go and is planning on it!

Xarsha- 08-18-2008

If all goes well, I should be at AWA~ I'll be doing Zexion again, so if you see me, feel free to say hi! ^^ Costume and wig may undergo some changes, but this is me: http://ichbineinengel.deviantart.com/art/Zexion-89395214 Unless I manage to get the contacts I want within a month, I'll be wearing glasses. xD And good luck with finding others for your group. Steampunk is awesome. =D

I'm trying to cosplay Agito from Air Gear.

Unfortunately, I won't be going to AWA after all. A friend I really wanted to see again ran into money problems, so I'll be visiting her instead. :3 Hope those of you who are going have fun!

Ha! Hotels? I don't need no stinking hotels! I'm poor! I can just live in a bloody box! Or better yet, find a good dumpster to sleep in. See, the best thing about living in a dumpster is that you get free food (sometimes you even score real edible stuff, lucky!!!) and sometimes you can even get free clothes! Huzzah!

Andromeda- 08-27-2008

I want photos!

Tweeg- 08-28-2008

I totally agree with the dumpster idea. And if you know how to pick them and are persistent at frequenting the right ones you can score free back issues of Shonen Jump and other neat odds and ends. :) ... Not that I'm actually going to this incredibley exciting event for which I wasn't aware even existed until joining these forums. But you know what, I'll hit up a dumpster or two that weekend and try to invision some sort of bizarre mis-preconception of what it must be like to actually attend the convention.

Going to a convention is like...... Visiting neverland. It is a place where the land of make-believe comes to life where you can see many of your favorite characters and learn all kinds of fun things about anime and the general Japanese culture you never even knew! You can make anime jokes and everyone around you gets them and there are thousands of people there who share your passion for anime and gaming. My wife and I attend 3 cons a year and they are truly the highlights of each year. I STRONGLY recommend that every anime fan go at least once and im pretty sure you will have the time of your life!

Marovin- 09-06-2008

Hmmm, I might be able to come to this. A job I took gave me more money than I expected. I just gonna have to see if I can team up with somebody so that we can split the cost of gas. Maybe I can even find, as my friend will call it, "Shaddy import anime".
