Anime Charleston Hey everyone,
My name is Chuck. I am the manager of a brand new Anime store in Charleston, called Anime Charleston {www.animecharleston.com}. The physical address is 7679 Dorchester Road, North Charleston.
We will be having a grand opening on Saturday, June 30th. We will be grilling out front under a tent, basic food and drink stuffs. Should be fun.
Inside the store, we have a viewing room, as someone was mentioning renting one to form an anime club. The room will have a 92 inch projection screen with surround sound, and any DVD we carry will be available at no cost to view in the theater to whoever rents the room. A little over 20 people can be seated in the room as well, so it should be big enough.
If anyone has any ideas/suggestions for events or just wants to drop us a line, check out the forums on our web site and feel free to register and post. Or if you want to give us a call, the store number is (843) 797-3031, and my cell is (843) 696-0667.
I really would like to see an anime club formed, and I think our viewing room would make a great HQ for it. So I hope we can be of service in that respect.
Well, that's about all I have for now. I hope to hear from some or all of you, either on our forums, or on the phone. And I really hope you all show up to our grand opening.

Looks like anime fans in Charleston are lucky. They get their own store sponsored anime club (video) room to hold meetings in. I wish we hadd something like that in the upstate region.

We are here for you I feel your pain.
Hopefully we can make it worth the effort for you to come down to ChuckTown from time to time for some of our events. Also, you could join our forums and throw some suggestions/ideas our way.
Or move to Charleston. :D

I've been to Charleston once... once.... and it rained like a monsoon the whole time I was there. Kind of a sucky first time experience. Afriad if I go again, it will rain again. It's like going to a con in Florida, I swear it rains at least one day that weekend... usually on Sunday.

Yeah. I am hoping that the rain doesn't ruin our grand opening. It's for these reasons that I truly miss Arizona. You could time the rains out there by your watch. Flash floods are another story...
Anyhow, if you decide to come to Charleston again, I hope it's a better visit for you than the first time. And at least you will have a decent Anime store to come to when you decide to visit again.

Just wanted to say I stopped by today and it's a really nice little place :D Good selection of manga & DVDs and snacks ;) Hopefully I'll be able to spend a little next time I come in, I didn't really have any cash on me this time XD
Glad it's here though! Finally I'm starting to feel at home n_n v
