Perhaps after november something can be tried. I'm going to be too busy to do much of anything till mid november at the very earliest. Nekocon is going to be occupying my attention till then.

Well, good luck then. Just remember that the earlier you do it, the more likley members are going to show interest.

I've been there, done that
I've tried off and on for YEARS to start an anime club here. It never seems to take off because even though I set times/dates/locations to meet up, no one ever shows. As posted in the "chit chat" section, i have been OOC for the last few months. Should be a little more active soon, still having to deal with some issues.

I goto Trident Technical College Main Campus on Rivers and a few of us at the College got enough signatures to start up an Anime Club there. Although we've really only had one official meeting at one of the members house. But at least we're doing something!

That's a start! Good job! The college I went to was a bit uptight. Feel free to use the forums as a way to communicate with those in your group and to leave information about the meetings you guys have. If you haven't found it, we also have a myspace page. I think I put that link in the chit chat area.

Yeah well we're all kinda myspace haters and TTC is trying to block myspace from it's computers or cap the bandwidth so that myspace users cry. hahaha. Anyways i'll let you all know once something happens.

You do that. It's always good to see groups start up and SC is in need of them! I wasn't a fan of myspace either, but it's a good way to network.

How can I start this Thing I don't have Experience!! I need help it is hard enough maintaining the club at my sucky School!!

You just need a group of people, whether it be two of you or more. We started out with like three or four at first. Then you need a place to meet. Like, we started having meetings at my house. You could check the library. They may even put up information about the meeting on their website.
