Eyeshield 21
Ok, not a football fan at all, but I'm totally hooked on this manga. I've watched the anime up to the last episode subtitled (48, but it's out to episode 70 something raw), but it doesn't compare to the manga. Kobayakawa Sena is a freshman in highschool. Despite his previous decisions to change his life, he finds himself in the exactly same place he was in during elementary school and junior high: a push over and an errand boy. However, this changes when Hiruma, the most feared person in his school and president of the American Football Club, notices Sena and forces him to join the Football Team. Now Sena will become Eyeshield 21, a mysterious running back with lighting fast speed. Highly, highly recommend this even if you aren't a football fan. It's worth giving it a try, and trust me when I say that. This is so far from the norm of what I read and like.

Well I'm not a football fan either, and I enjoy the anime quite well. However there are a few things that just erk me. For example: When someone is tackled, and they drop the ball, then it's a fumble not a down or whatever. Both teams should be scrambling for the ball at that point. They do this so often. Almost all tackles the person drops the ball. It just gets under my skin.

Yeah, in the manga it's different. They actually seem to pay attention to the rules of football.
