Yep. It is. I saw the gameplay video the other day. And i gotta tell ya. From the looks of things, it sure does beat any other free MMORPG that i've played. Even maple Story.... Perhaps we should compile a list of all the free to download and play games that are out there.

From what I hear from others who have played Maple Story, this is better. FlyFF stands for Fly For Fun. Indeed it is a role playing game.
I need to update that pic. My Merc is now a Blade and she wears an assassin face mask. Looks pretty weird with her school girl outfit.

Well, i'm not sure you could really compare the two (in depth anyway). I mean, they both are MMORPG's, but Maple story is a 2D linear MMORPG, while FlyFF is a 3D roaming MMORPG. Although there are some similarities, from what i've read there's alot of differences. I'll probably have to play it in order to see for myself though.

The screen shot you've shown sure does look neat, but currently I don't have the needed time to start another MMORPG. I have troubles enough just getting through the single player on Neverwinter Nights.

Wow.... those are some disturbing pictures....
Anyway, i got a question. Are there many lamers in the game? Because in Knight Online, there are way too many, and alot of them are probably in their early teens and they tend to use exploits within the game, and kill others with those exploits, they also log in using dial up (which causes so much lag), they also use this exploit that duplicates items temporarily, and sell them at ridiculous prices. Also, ontop of that, once the Admins find out that you bought a duped item, they immediatley delete it from your inventory, and guess what, you just lost all the money you spent on that item. Also, alot of them are from the middle east. And there was this guy who had a cross in his name, and a bunch of those idiots just started threatening him with hacking his account, and ontop of that, they tried to team kill him just because of that.

There will always be lamers. You were a lamer once. duping is practicly non-existant. Trust me. They already dealt with that in the first Beta. Man was that a mess. Pk'ing is only done on one server and that's in the Aibat server. PVP can be done in all, but only in the arena. There are very few exploits left after the first Beta shut down last year.

No. You don't seem to understand the serverity of how it is in Knight Online. Sure, i understand that there are the casual lamer in every online game. That goes without saying. But the level of lamers is beyond average in KO. It was so bad in that game. You can't even go to one server without being bombarded with PM's and the level of people duping is at a tremendous scale. Once you log in, you can tell from the first glance that there would be at least 40 people duping an item. And if you go to a Bossfight, you could expect to be killed. And not by a boss. Heck, even adults take a shot at that sort of thing. Not all of them though. But alot. That game ruined MMORPG's for me. Hopefully this one wont.

I'm not some dumbass. I'm very much aware of things like that and it did get that bad in FlyFf before the overhaul.

Duping ran rampant. So bad that the economy was shot. Penya, which is the currency, cubes could be seen in the air! Dice, which is used to upgrade, littered the ground. PK hacks, leveling hacks, exploit hacks everywhere. It happened after ROSE shut down for that short time because of all the hacking that ruined the game. Well, those guys moved over to FlyFF and ruined the game so bad, it had to be shut down for two months.

Well glad that that's over then. Once i try it out, i want to see if i could get this flying cloud that i saw in this video. I really hope i'm able to get it, because it looks really fun to ride.
