Hey, how's everybody doin? I'm Corey and I'm trying to start an anime club out of Sumter! I was maybe between 10 and 12 years old (mid to late 90's) when I discovered Robotech playing on CN's Toonami and slowly but surely since then, I've grown into the fan of all kinds of anime since then. (Thank goodness for fansubs!) I'm 21 now and two friends of mine and I went to our first anime convention together (Animazement) earlier this year, and that's what pushed me over the edge to start the club. So far, we haven't actually had a meeting yet, but the first one is going to be on Sunday, July 8th. Once we have it, I guess I'll let everybody know how it went (whether you like it or not! Then again, I guess you don't have to read it...)

I was at Animazement this year as well, although IMO it has been steadly declining since I first attended in 2003. Anyway I wish you well with your club. I hope you can find like mined people.

I went to Animazement last year and throughly enjoyed it. There were a lot of things different from the cons that I've attended in the past. Glad you joined the forums!
