Mushi mushi Hi everybody! Just thought i'd introduce myself. Lets see...
I am a 40 year old male anime fan, and i just recently moved back to the charleston area after a 2 year hiatus in NC. I am an automation engineer at Nucor steel.
Interests include anime (heheh), science fiction/fantasy, computers and computer gaming as well as good old fashioned P&P gaming.
Anyway, that's about it.

Job sounds interesting. Welcome!
Hopefully a few of the others in your area will get around to having some sort of meet up.
What's P&P gaming?

It's Pen and Paper. You know, things like Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the gathering, and stuff like that. Anyway, welcome Jerry. Hope you have fun hanging out in the forums. BTW, i believe that there is enough people now for a columbia meetup? I really wish they'd stay around so everyone there could plan something.

Columbia is definitely close enough for a drive. The bad this is, my work schedule is very odd, and my days off change every week. So if ya'll have a meeting and i don't show up, it probably isn't due to me not wanting to go, more likely it would be an issue of work.
But yeah, i'd definitely like to meet some new people who share my hobbies. Perhaps make some new friends in the area.

Welcome aboard. We haven't planned a Columbia meet yet, but when we do I think it's going to be based around ChibiShinigami's schedule since I believe she's going to be the host.
That being said, her schedule may prove to be flexible enough to accommodate you.

ewww.. pen and paper games. Never could get into that sort of gaming. Though it's a good laugh to listen to sometimes.... like at ConCarolinas. They would have to set up a table right across from the SCA table. It was so hard not to laugh at these two guys in that one group.

While i can't say much about Magic the gathering, i'm alittle interested in D&D. Seems pretty appealing in some ways. But yeah, i used to go to school with these guys that were Yugioh fanatics, and with their constant chattering during the game, it got me sick of even hearing the name Yugioh.

I am still around! (sort of) I am currently living with my inlaws and they have a crappy internet connection so rather then fight it I just avoid it:)
Myself and my sweetie would come to any columbia get together in the next couple of months:) It would be nice to see Chibi again:)

Maybe we can plan a movie night down there.
I've played D&D online, but never with a group of people at a table. Heck I was even a DM for a game.

Just say the word. ^-^

Edit: My wonderful and sweet Jon runs P&P games (thats how we met) and has been toying with the idea of running a Big Eyes Small Mouth game, just havent found to many people intreasted in it around here.
ChibiShinigami- 07-13-2006
Yay! Deffinately when you get back we'll have to meet up!
And if you can find enough people to get interested in it, I'm up for a BESM game. I've never played that particular one, but i'm pretty sure that I can pick up on it quickly.
