Naruto and Bleach
I'm amazed that there hasn't been much said about Naruto and Bleach on here. :) I've been watching Bleach almost nonstop lately, and I am in love with this series. I'm totally Ichigo. hehe, while at the same time, I'm totally Kakashi. XD

I found bleach because at the last Roundcon I was at someone asked me if I had heard of it and I never had so when I got home I started looking around for it and have fallen for it! Ichigo and Kon seem to be the ones that I like, but them I like the shop owner guy (can not remember his name) and his helpers :)

I've downloaded all the episodes... but I have only watched the first episode of Bleach! lol I know it's sad.

I don't really see how you can be totally both those characters. Their personalities are completely different. Kakashi is laid back, smooth, and cool like even while Ichigo is hot headed, rushes into things, and has a very one track mind. I mean it's only now that you see him start to analyze a situation, but it's usually after he's already jumped into it. Do you think maybe they are just your favorite characters? If I had to pick my favorite characters from Naruto they would probably start with Itachi, Sauske, Kakashi, Gaara, and Rock Lee. After seeing the Rock Lee vs. Gaara fight I might even have to bump Rock Lee into 2nd or 3rd. As far as Bleach goes... Of course you have to like Ichigo the best. It's not like they give you much of a chance with the other characters as they are relegated to scrap (aka their powers suck, and I don't mean like stupid powers, but simply they are weak). It's like watching Dragonball Z all over. Goku gets stronger while everyone else gets weaker. In the end most people either like Goku or Vegeta because they are about the only ones whos power remains similar in strength. The seems to be following in Bleach. Ichigo is currently at the top, and it looks like they are going to bring Ishida back into the fold, so I can see the power balance moving between those two. I hope this made sense. We'll see once replys start rolling in. My stance on the two animes are as follows: Naruto would have been one of the best animes of all time if they had left the filler out. Now it's turned into crap. Bleach with me has and probably always will be just an okay anime.

I say that they are both like me because there are things in each of their personalities that I can identify with and out of both series, those are the two that I can relate to the most. In Naruto, I'd be the older, wiser, casual character who ends up being the mentor of the group. That's my soft and passive side. But at the same time, I'm the guy that would go to the ends of the earth to protect someone he cares about and tends to be misunderstood and people think he's harsh and mean, but he's just hiding a lot of pain in his heart, and in the end, he's the hero type that never gives up. That's why I can associate with both of them. :)

Yeah, the filler eps are just stupid. But then again, the Manga needs time to progress, so that's a good reason to do that.

the filler episodes don't bother me too much, but I definately think that it's been too excessive. I should say that they didn't bother me to BEGIN with, but then it got out of hand. An occassionally filler episode is fine now and then, but it's been entirely too long. I think they said "Oroshimaru can not change to a new body for 2 years" so they kind of said "You are going to have to wait for 2 years until we complete this storyline. I think that's kinda messed up. >_<

Oh lord... Just skip ahead people! Is anyone up to date with the Bleach episodes. I noticed 74 isn't on the list, but 73 is double it's size.

lol, sorry, I meant the writers with the story. And I do have all the current epsidoes, ... well, up to episode 179. I think it has to do with the way the licensing is... only so many seasons were licensed, or something like that. But you can't get them at Animesuki.

Oh, i see. Yeah, i wonder how long will it take them to license the rest.

I suppose they are waiting to see how big of a success it will be over here. No sense in paying for a license if you don't make any money off of it... or however it works.

Well, i guess that's a good way to do things, but i think since it's Naruto, it's a safe bet that it's going to do good here in the states.

Both Bleach and Naruto have been licensed in their entirety; VIZ's parent company in Japan actually owns the original rights, that's why they probably had the rights all along but only announced them once they were ready to release them. Dattebayo will probably keep subbing Naruto and Bleach until they are sent a cease and desist order from VIZ. Inane and Shannaro appear to have stopped scanlating the manga, other crappy groups have been doing the last 12 or so chapters. Ju-Ni is still scanlating Bleach. Don't worry you haven't missed a Bleach episode; 73 is a double so it's really 73-74, the next will be numbered as 75. 179 is the latest Naruto; 182 is supposed to end the filler season (actually 182 is in manga continuity, not a filler).
