Not all places do that though. For example. Columbia house would charge you about 8 bucks for Shipping (Nothing said about handling), and they have their own subsidary company that makes the supplies for them. And ontop of that, there is also a tax on the entire package as well.

Columbia House will screw you over big time. BMG is bad as well, so bad, they got suied and lost.

Yeah, they kinda pissed me off when they sent me the YuYu Hakusho movie, and it never arrived. Although technically it isn't their problem, since they supposedly shipped it, and the good bastards at the postal office sent it back, because they are knee deep in work. However, i called them, and they said they'd be shipping it to me again, and my order status hasn't changed yet. So i'm going to give them another call, and if they give me some BS excuse, i'm just going to flat out leave that POS.

I've had to call BMG before to tell them that I received a bill from them, but I never received the CD. They don't argue and say okay and then fix it. Never dealt with Columbia House on a personal basis.
