New Games!
This birthday was pretty cool. Tim took me to Best Buy and told me to pick something out. Now I could have gone with something really expensive like an ipod, but I picked out four games, two for the PS2 and two for th e DS. Cooking with Mama - which is pretty fun Finaly Fantasy III Star Ocean something Dragon Quest VIII

We'll we know you're an RPG fan. I would really like to get Final Fantasy III for my DS as well. Actually I'd like to get all the old releases, so in time.... I currently have the GBA Final Fantasy I & II Dawn of Souls. I've also heard that Cooking Mama was actually a pretty fun game, but after you've finished it there won't be a lot of replay value. That's what I hear at least. Granted RPG's are like this as well.

True, not much of a replay value, but it's hard in some areas. Some are easy, like making a boiled egg, then some are hard like cutting meat into cutlets.

Zero0079- 11-27-2006

Yeah, i hear that Cooking Mama is a great game (and a cheap one at that, at only 15 bucks before tax), but very little replay value. But i guess the same can be said with other Touch generation games. I'm also planning to get Final Fantasy III, since i never played the Japanese version (not even through emulation). Anyway, congrats on the Birthday.

It's been so long since I posted to the games thread, and I completely forgot you owned Final Fantasy III. I have been the proud owner of that game for about a month now. I would like to get your friend code sometime so I could randomly send you mail ;) Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to point you to this recent article on Arstechnica about Guitar Hero for the DS.

Friend code?

BodyOrgan- 03-22-2008

Final Fantasy III has the ability to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection aka their online, and when you do that it will create a friend code for you to share with your friends, so you can find each other online. With this number, I'll be able to send you moogle mail in Final Fantasy III. I should also mention the sequel to Dragon Quest VIII, Dragon Quest IX will be on the DS. You should really check into that if you like the Dragon Quest series. It's looking to be pretty hot stuff. It's due to be released at least in Japan sometime this year.

whoo!!!

FFIII... dont know that ill get that (i dont like the DS) Dragonquest VIII is ok its a little cute for my taste though..... i would realy like to play some earlier versions of this since the franchise is so big in japan though. My recent RPG pics are going to be Brave Story - about 30 hours of fun Final Fantasy tactics PSP- 80+ hours of fun Crisis Core - im not finished yet but i estimate around 60 hours (if one completes all of the missions) of course these are all on the PSP (my new favorite platform)

Excuse me? Star Ocean -something-?!?! Jeez, do you go Wild ARMs Something also? Ah well, knowing how you said PS2 games, odds are you got Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. My favorite of the series is Star Ocean: the Second Story. It is for the Playstation and from what I heard is nearly impossible to get a good copy of it. Though there are still things that SO:TTOT has that SO:TSS has, SO:TSS has a lot more to offer than SO:TTOT. I highly recommend you try to find SO:TSS. The final boss in that game is one of the hardest boss I ever faced when I played it on Universal Mode Limiter Off. A side note, there is an anime called Star Ocean EX. It was okay, but it was mostly made for SO:TSS fans.

Ah.. I remember playing Star Ocean: The Second Story. I had the copy with the hardback manual and cloth map. Wish I hadn't of gotten rid of it.

You just performed a cardinal sin of gaming. Congratulations, you are going to Gaming Hell where you are forced to play the First Samurai, Sunday Funday, and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial for all of eternity.

I remeber years back owning that game. Had the hardest time finding a buyer for it. Listed it on ebay twice. Finally sold it to a friend for $10. Just never could get into it for some reason.
