New Meeting Place?
I was wondering, if I tried to start a meeting at the downtown library, would any of you come to support it until there was an good amount of attendees? I was thinking it could be good for 14+ and who's parents won't let them go to strangers' houses. The library is open till 9 on Saturdays and I was thinking from 6-9. I haven't looked into it yet though. EDIT: Holy Crap! They have meetings once a month like us... lol. Not to mention it's only for ages 12-18. That kind of sucks. Wonder how we could introduce SCA to those leaving that age range...hmm...

I live pretty close to the downtown library so it'd be convenient for sure.

The ones we have have lasted until 1 or 2am. I wonder if they'd let two groups have meeting? I know the guys in Virginia meet at the library and they aren't teeny boppers.

Yeah, I guess we need to move to an actual club house eh? I'm in favor of moving the meeting to an earlier time, but it sure sucks losing that hour. If we start doing stuff other than anime then the time flys by.

Earlier time hurts me though. My babysitter doesn't get out of work till 6. So I'd have to bring the kids.

I have nothing to do with this since I'm in Sumter, but would you be able to get a different day than the teenage crowd? Since they have one Saturday, maybe you can get a different Saturday.

I think there's is on Wednesday. At least their next meeting is.

Oh okay. Maybe I didn't read over the previous posts properly. Still the same, it'd be nice to hear that that another independent group can get their hands on a room in a library.

Yeah, I've printed off the paper work and filled most of it out. They said something about needing a letterhead, but I'm going to go down there and talk to someone in person. I haven't filled out the AV form yet, because I'm not sure what I'll need exactly. Latptop or computer isn't listed, but we'll most likely need one depending on what the overhead projector is hooked up to. So if anyone has some questions, I'm going thursday. Lord knows I'll have a brain fart, but I'm writing things down!! Me and my organizational skills!
