Personal Rules At A Convention?
I know this has been done on other forums, but I think in light of the fact AWA starts tomorrow, I should bring this up. 1. Check IDs! If anything is going down between the sheets (which is probably rare for the kind of people going to cons, but nevertheless...), CHECK IDs! Wataru brought this up to me and it sounds like a good idea. We don't need the otaku version of R Kelly. Sometimes that cosplayer looks 19... 2. Wash and Wear Deoderant! This should be obvious to most people, but if you've ever been to a con, you know there's some funky ass people that will never get even the slightest chance of even getting to Rule #1. Take a shower each day you're at the con. 3. Prepare Early! I've violated this one. Register and get a hotel as soon as possible. Not only do you get the cheapest rates, but hopefully, you'll be able to stay in the hotel that's attached to the building the con is held at. Maybe there's more, but I'll leave that up to everybody else.
