So i just got a Wii recently...
Bought it from a co-worker. Pretty different from what i pictured. I mean, yeah, it's a fun little system, but there seems to have been a couple of kinks that needed to be worked out beforehand. Take the sensor bar for example; it works yeah, but it seems as though a lot of things can interfere with it. Distance is an issue here as well. You can't sit too close to the bar, or else your movements are translated in a more sensitive way. By that i mean, that every slight movement, would be exaggerated by quite a bit if you're too close, but it works perfect when you're at a distance. The games are good, but what can you expect from the current market leader? The mouse like controls are neat, but i don't think it's any substitute for a good keyboard and mouse. When i bought it, it came with Super Mario Galaxy and Super Paper Mario. Both games are really good, although obviously different. Love the two player functionality in Mario galaxy where you can use another wiimote to control Mario, in addition to the first one. And having you control both 2 and 3 dimensions in Super Paper Mario, was pretty original. In addition to having those two games, the system also came with a few Virtual console games. Among them were: Pac Man, Super Mario World, Mario 64, Donkey Kong, as well as Mario Bros 1 and 3. I'm sure a lot of you have already played them, so nothing else needs to be said about that. I wish i was able to explore the online functionality, but my router's been reset somehow and i gotta find a way to set up that cascade again. Also, I've made a few Miis. More particularly a few Miis of people i know. Including a couple of people here that I've met. So yeah, i just figured I'd post this just for fun. That, and the gaming board really needed some livening up.
