I liked Nerima Daikon Brothers. That was just frickin hilarious. Heck, I'd watch it again if I had not sold the first vol... lol.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....
I was watching it on the Anime Networking while getting ready for school today.
I only watch subs but...
I'm into:
Naruto Shipuuden
BLEACH (It's alright in japanese)
Black Lagoon
FLCL
XXXHolic
Tsubasa Resavoir Chronicles
The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Ouran High School Host Club
Anything with blood, gore, fighting, samurais (The occasional comedy is good too) And a romance is fine every once in a while...
Speaking of comedy and romance, you know what's unfortunate? There are a LOT of male-oriented romance/comedies, but only a very select few are worth watching. All of them have the two main characters not really pursuing each other, a downer climax episode right before the series ends, and a very cliche ending where they (sort of) hook up.
Is it just me or is there a lot more creative material that could be covered by these same creators within the confines of the relationships they're creating at the very last minute of the series?
Anyway, is XXXHolic any good? I read the earlier responses about Gokusen. I've since seen it. It was pretty good. Not exactly Great Teacher Onizuka, but worth watching one time.
We watched it here at our meetings in Spartanburg and it was okay. Not as great as I thought it would be. There's like, no plot and it leaves questions unanswered. But I hear there's going to be a second season.
Maybe I'll download a single episode just to see what it's like.
xXxHolic - The Movie was pretty good, but it didn't make any effort at filling any plot holes or anything.
It's one of those series that basically establishes the whole premise in the first episode or two, and then uses that premise to tell basically random stories.
