If you left certain things the way they were, they wouldn't be able to market them. Less marketable items, less sells, less profits, no company, no demand, anime creation drops off, unhappy American anime fans.

Iee Dattebayo!!!! I can't beleive Americans would go that far!! >_< I have No reason to lIve it is so hard!!! Oh Yes JApanese Voices ARE incredibly high pitch!! To them we sound very Slow and sloppy!! To us They sound like they are spiiting out bullets!! But I mostly like the Original Voice to begin with but Full Metal A. was Super Awsome Special with the voice acto--- .... Some Voice actors!!

let me correct that. Japanese GIRLS have high-pitched voices. It seems like all guys who speak Japanese go from 0-awesome in .6 seconds.

Speaking for SARM, we usually go by subs unless a majority of the people in the room prefer the dubs of that particular anime. We'll give it a shot in dubs for a few minutes and then subbed afterwards and then go by consensus. Personally, I'm the same way = 95% subs. The only shows I can think of I watch in English are GTO and Goldenboy. If the script has something corny or cheesy in it, which I admit happens pretty often in anime, it's more bearable in Japanese than English, because if a friend of mine that's not into anime walks in and hears it, it can make his ears bleed as well as mine. It's similar to when I was in Germany in the early 90's, and "super cool" was a phrase I remember hearing in their popular media while here it was seen as "super gay" to say that. The cheese is more painful when you fully understand it.

I hate it when in Anime the voices don't match the person and they say one small thing and then the mouth is still moving and sometimes the other way around!!
