okay so we talked about doing some ways of raising money for the con. we discussed some ways and we came up with a cool idea. we are going tio do a halloween cosplay party. i am going to ask one of teh people in my group if he could ask USC if we could throw it somwhere on campus. when we find a location we want to throw it the weekend before halloween. i will post up a date and info when we get this worked out. as i have said like before many many times to all of you reading this but not posting, please reply any ideas and suggestions that you may have. please your it would help us out greatly. by the way we have some logos drawn up for Nanpou Con it iis on our forum just follow the link located on this forum. join us, leave us your thoughts on it. well until then later. So yesterday i went to the Raddison and got a layout and pricnig info. They even gave me a list of rates for renting equipment such as film projectors, screens, etc. I have to go back sometime next week to get a tour. The person whom is in charge of this was not there yesterday. I also got a new sponsor/dealer, Ichibon siad that they wouldbe intrested in the near future and to keep them alert when it came closer to time. I think this hotel is nice and would be a great location. There are 5 overflow hotels around, including one hotel literally sitting in the Raddison's parking lot.

Okay so there has been a change in the palns for the halloween party. instaed of doing this as a fundraising event, i would like to do this as a meeting event. The date wil be October 25th 2008, which is a Saturday at 6pm til midnight at Frankies Fun park here in Columbia. anyone intrested in wanting to know about the con is welcome to come, i am going to look into asking them if we can wear our costumes, if anyone wanted to. I am goinmg to invite the heads of the anime clubs across the region of SC to attend. I hope that this sounds like a good plan. It woukld be fun and a great way to get to know people who want to help set up this con.

I'm gonna try and check it out this weekend. i just wanted to thank those of you who came to the meeting. for those of you who were not able to make it we are going to throw another meeting in a couple of weeks. we are going to hold it at somewhere a little cheaper and less noisy. Frankies was fun but there were some distractions and as a professional a.d.d. freak i did get distracted. i will let you know where we plan it.but seriously thank you for your advice and suggestions it was very helpful. i will post what we discussed on the nanpou forum.
