Watching/Watched: June 2010
Half-way through another month without anyone seeing anything? Really? Am I the only one here who doesn't have anything any better to do? Oh well. Yu Yu Hakusho: The Movie At roughly the same run time as a normal episode one can hardly call this a movie. A lost episode maybe, but certainly not a movie. The only movie-like aspect of the whole thing was that it's in widescreen. Also, having been localised by Anime Works, it features an entirely different less suitable voice acting cast. Story wise it seems to fit in just prior to the Dark Tournament. If you've never seen it don't fret, you haven't really missed out on anything. Mostly some comic mischief centering around Koenma (aka Jr.). Ninku: The Movie Some weird sub-half-hour long, lupin-esque, action-comedy "movie" on the same disc as Yu Yu Hakusho: The Movie. Probably just their to serve as filler material to justify whatever the DVD had originally retailed for. Not a clue about Ninku really, have no idea if it's based directly on a Manga, TV series, or an OVA. The plot and story were both really odd as are some of the character designs, like the kid with the hideously inhuman face. Was an easy enough to follow story without having ever seen anything else Ninku related. Yu Yu Hakusho Have watched all the way up through episode 98 as of earlier this evening. Only fourteen episodes remain left to watch. I'm starting to get a little tired of seeing it though, so will be taking a short break to watch something else for a change.

Ghost Hunt: Volumes 3 - 5 (end of series) The hilarity that began in volume one ended half-way through volume 3, which was exactly half-way through the series. The "did I just hear what I think I heard moments" begin to overrun the script, along with the unwelcomed inclusion of all to frequently used foul language. This continued on until the very end. Still worth one watch through. And on a positive note though they did at least conclude this twenty episode series with the last episode.

Bleach the Movie: Memories of Nobody Movie setting is sometime just after the end of the first story arc. Felt that there was a lack of information in the back story given about the villans in this movie. Otherwise, Memories of Nobody was a really good movie. And nearly all of the major Bleach characters got some screen time, save for poor Don Kanonji.

Yu Yu Hakusho All 112 episodes watched from start to end. The series is quite good, and has an actual ending. On a down note, the events of the final season felt rushed and transpired at a pace much faster than any other story arc in the series and even had one major self contained continuity error within tself. Thankfully that error didn't amount to much in the grand scope of things, but it was still blatantly there.
