What anime should i get?
OK been meaning to expand my collection for quite some time, and some good deals have poped up. So now for every anime DVD i buy, i can get a second one free. However, the selection is limited, so there aren't many options. Anyway, i would like some suggestions on which should i get. BTW, there are others available, but i just took the ones i would rather see above the rest.

Out of those all I have seen is tokoyo godfathers, was worth a watch, kinda funny, and grave of the fire flies which was the singel most depressing movie I have ever seen in my life.

I picked Fruits Basket, but Angel Sanctuary is another one I think I might like to see. high_templar, I've heared Grave of the Fireflies is real depressing too. I have it laying around somewhere. I really need to watch it.

OK, so Body, do you think you could bring Grave of the Fireflies? I too hear that it's depressing as sh*t, and everyone is giving it rave reviews, so i kinda want to see it. Anyway, Fruit's basket is a given in one of the titles i'm going to buy, now i have to think about what the other one is going to be before midnight tonight. I might go with Ghost in the shell, since it's a movie i've been meaning to see.

I haven't seen Grave of the Fireflies yet, but I own it. I don't know if you guys would like Angel Sanctuary... Can we say "Yaoi." It's quite Yaoi suggestive. The manga even more so. I've been reading the scanlation. Tokyo God Fathers was okay. GIS:Innocense was alright.

Well, thanks for letting us know. I'll probably get something else then, if everybody doesn't mind me doing so. Maybe i'll buy it the next time i host another meetup, or whoever owns it could bring it with them (don't really care if it's Yaoi or not, as long as it's in good taste (IE: No lemon scenes, like actual sex or kissing)). But it's a definite, with the Fruits Basket. I guess i'll probably get Ghost in the Shell then.

Oh, I forgot the Incest. The big plot thing is all about the Incest. The main character is in love with his sister and at some point they run off and have a relationship together.... err.. they DO IT!. Just to warn you.

Eh, well, i guess that's wrong on so many levels.

Actually I don't mind yaoi, or incest. The only thing I really shy away from is actually watching yaoi sex happen. The kissing I can deal with because they usually make the boys look almost female anyway. It would be weird if two burly men were kissing though. Mostly what matters to me is the story. That's really what makes an anime good. If they can convey the emotions and feelings, and develop their characters. Basically getting the audience attached to the characters.

Well, last night i decided to order Ghost in the Shell, and Fruits Basket. Now, i checked my account, and it seems as though i have to make another order, to fulfill my requrements :roll: . So i might just edit the poll again sometime later in the week, to see what others i should get.

^_^ I'll have to rent FAKE again for one of the meetings. The manga was great, and so was the movie. I know how squeemish some people can be about those two things, so I thought I'd mention it. Did I also mention that the current banner is Angel Sanctuary from the Manga. ^_^
